I thought I would splurge a little bit and have a pot roast sandwich from Bob Evans for dinner.

Entered it into the http://www.sparkpeople.com food plan.

*gag* 1,154 calories, 125 grams of carbs, 46 FREAKING grams of FAT, and 57 grams of protein!

Holy farking crap. Well, there went the 700 calories I burned at the gym this morning...no wonder I've not lost any weight.

I WAS planning to live past 50, but that sandwich probably shaved off several years from my life. Whoa.

BUT, not is all lost, as it is [livejournal.com profile] angylinni's birthday! I hope you had a great day!

I had a really hard time losing weight until I decided to cut back on portion size instead of food quality. Somehow, someway, I managed to lose close to 30 pounds last year by eating until I didn't feel hungry anymore (have to eat slowly to do this approach). Seemed easier to go hungry than it did to stay full on crap I didn't want to eat. ;)

My two bad things: I'm a 3-meal-a-dayer and I'm a shoveler.

I want to lose 15 pounds by June, so I'll have to watch what I'm eating MUCH more closely...including portion sizes.

My sympathies, I feel for ya having eaten nearly an entire box of chocolates yesterday. At least you probably enjoyed your sandwitch. I just made myself feel queasy the rest of the day.

When I read your post, I was like "I've totally been there", because nothing is worse than ODing on chocolate. Yech.

The sandwich was good, but rich and somehow kind of plasticky.

It's okay, there's a lot of resources to be had there.

But if you want to be totally, completely depressed, do your meal plan and count calories. I've not eaten lunch yet and I've eaten more than half my calories, dammit.

I bet you have mayonnaise flowing in your veins.

I don't really see myself ending up as one of those "uh-oh, I can't eat that 'cause it'll put me over my limit for the day" people.

Instead, I'll probably continue to subsist on chocolate and pizza and say, "Haha, calorie-counter. You have no control over me. I OWN you."
